ITV Presenter Andrea McLean's Wedding

Posted on August 25, 2009 at 7:13 AM

Wow, what an amazing weekend!

Friday morning 'The Greatest' flew to Inverness where we performed at a wedding reception in a castle on the banks of Loch Ness no less. This was a surprise show for the bride who is a massive Take That fan, & I've got to say, when I came out singing Greatest Day, her face was a treat, a mixture of shock & excitement... priceless!!

We then went back to the hotel (After having a few drinks of course!!) & had about 4 hours sleep as we were back on the plane again in the morning for the next gig Saturday night in Surrey.

As you can see by the images in the photo gallery, Saturday night was a special event for us as we performed for former GMTV weather girl & ITV Loose Women presenter Andrea McLean & her husband Steve for their weddings evening reception.

Now, I know that a wedding dress makes any lady look beautiful, but Andrea was definitely the most stunning bride I have ever seen. The other ladies from Loose Women also kept to their personalities on the show by looking very pretty & classy.

The night ended with Matt (aka Howard) and I having a really nice chat with Andrea at the bar over a couple of drinks. The comments she gave us like... "The best tribute show I had ever seen", "Can't believe how much you sound like Gary Barlow" & "You all gave mine & Steve's wedding day the perfect ending" were fantastic.

So if you are reading this Andrea, thank you for treating us so nicely, letting us perform for your guests, you & Steve (& your gorgeous daughter Amy!) and we hope to see you again one day.

The Greatest Night Of Our Lives - Worthing 25th July'09

Posted on July 27, 2009 at 6:29 AM

Hi everyone,

Well, it's official... 'The Greatest' Take That Tribute has had the greatest night of their lives!!!

It's now Monday & we are all still coming down from the high the Worthing crowd gave to us on Saturday night. The Splash FM festival was our biggest audience to date & I know I speak on behalf of all the other boys when I say, it was a very special night for us & that we can't thank you enough if you were one of the many people singing 'Shine', 'Rule The World' & 'Back For Good' at the top of your lungs.

As you can see from our photos in the gallery, it was an amazing view from the stage & I've got to say, I almost gave in to tears by the end of singing 'Said It All' as I've never seen anything so beautiful in all my life, so thank you all for that.

The night ended perfectly with an amazing response from the crew, other tribute acts & Matt (aka Howard) leaving his very over priced sandwich on the roof of the car, only to realize about 5 minutes away from the services!!! Priceless reaction!!

Anyway guys, I've got to go, so I'll write to you all again next week.

Take care

The Greatest Take That Tribute at Worthing for Splash FM

Posted on July 20, 2009 at 7:15 AM

Hi everyone, & welcome to our very 1st blog on The Greatest Take That Tribute's official website.

I was looking at my diary the other day & noticed I had about 5 minutes spare every day, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to keep you updated with gigs, events, backstage gossip & details about every performance.  So keep logging on to our site & I promise to keep you informed & hopefully entertained.

We have our biggest crowd to date coming up next Saturday (25.07.09) in Worthing & you'll be able to hear about my thoughts on the real Take That, our show & what it feels like playing the role of Gary on www.splashfm.com - Wednesday from 1pm - 2pm.  Just click on the LISTEN LIVE link at the top right hand of the page & you're away.  It's for a Take That special so there will plenty of TT songs to sing along to in between the interview.

Till' then, wish us luck for Saturday & I'll write to you all again next week.

Bye for now.
